Título: Ricardo Legorreta: Constructed Dreams
Autor: BEI Editora
Sinopse: This book results from a series of exclusive interviews given by Mexican architect Ricardo Legorreta, one of the greatest names in global contemporary architecture. Talking about his work, he suggests a process of eye education aimed at the lay public, explaining architectonic concepts (materials, light, styles) and thinking about the relationships between construction and its environment, architecture and the city. Most of the photographs that illustrate the text were taken by Legorreta himself, so that the architect s view conducts the reader. There are also images made by Cristiano Mascaro depicting different angles of one of the architect s constructions and clarifying the link between the influences received and the constructed work. The final part of the book discusses some of the architectonic work that influenced Legorreta or that illustrate his conception of architecture as a profession aimed at the public well-being and the exercise of conviviality and citizenship. Special issue in exclusive box.
