Sinopse: “No Rastro de Chet Baker – Um Caso de Evan Horne” is a Brazilian import paperback edition of Bill Moody’s “Jazz-Detective” novel “Looking for Chet Baker” which has been translated into Portuguese by Roberto Muggiati. Moody’s protagonist is Evan Horne, a jazz pianist who takes on the role of a detective in this fictionalized investigation of the mysterious death of real life jazz trumpeter Chet Baker (it has never been fully determined if Baker fell from a window, jumped, or was pushed). Howard Mandel, writing of the original English version of the novel said “Evan Horne plays it cool to the point of Zen through underworld investigations and bandstand triumphs. So does author Bill Moody, who writes as an insider of a jazzman’s work and world.”
