He also writes humorous fiction, often with ideas that have been developed by almost 40 years of different social work clients who have inspired him. As well as writing, Gary enjoys doing readings of his work in coffee houses, restaurants, bars and churches where he has developed a following. He's proud of this book even though he failed a grammar class in 1979 in Illinois State University.
