In This Exhibition, You Will Find A Room Specially Dedicated To Kitchen Utensils, Entitled Trabalho E Felicidade. This Room Explores The Relationships Between Domestic Kitchens, Their Objects, Culinary Practices, And The Constitution Of Women's Identities And Subjectivities. For A Long Time, Women Were Responsible For The Nourishment Of The Family And Also For The Management Of The House And Table, With The Duty Of Ensuring The Happiness Of The Home, Especially Of Men. Imported Models, Such As The One On Display, Began To Spread Among The Upper Classes In The 1920s, But The Consolidation Of The Brazilian Home Appliances Industry Only Occurred In The 1960s. This Exhibition Invites Us To Reflect On Domestic Objects, Their Uses, Ornaments And Materials, Revealing How Domestic Space Has Contributed To Shaping Our Way Of Being Over The Past 150 Years.
